Web Conferencing
Posted On July 17, 2008 at at 6:04 AM by kulluFor some inexplicable reason, an overwhelming majority of Internet users believe that they are anonymous while surfing the Net. They could not be more wrong, as the recent controversy about You Tube demonstrates. what is , arguably, the most popular video sharing website in the world is locked in a billion-dollar lawsuit for the infringement of copyright with Viacom and other copyright holders. A judge in New York has ordered You Tube to release information about who watches which video clips and when. This has raised major concerns among the advocates of privacy even though the data would not be publicly released but disclosed only to the plaintiffs, and it would include less specific identifiers than a user's real name or e-mail address. The 12 terabytes of data - equivalent to the text of 12 million books - is a database that includes information on when each video gets played, and attached to each entry is each viewer's unique login ID and the Internet Protocol (IP) address for that viewer's computer.
Everything that an ordinary computer user does online can be traced. The issue of employers violating privacy by checking workers' electronic communications has been examined by various courts worldwide. Search engines keep records of users' activities. For computers users, much of their daily activities are centred around computers, either online, or offline. They maintain diaries, personal mail, financial records, family photos and much more. Therefore, it is important that the privacy of users is respected and not violated, except when specifically required and legally sanctioned.
The legal world has not evolved enough to be in step with the cyber world, which continuously poses new and complex challenges. These challenges are as much legal as technological. There is an urgent need for international law to tackle issues pertaining to companies which are physically within nations, but operate without borders and are accessed and used by a trans-national clientele. The privacy concerns over the access to You Tube data is yet another instance that highlights the importance of coming to legal terms with the complexities of the web.

True paidsurvey sites are always free to join
Posted On July 07, 2008 at at 4:57 AM by kulluThere are hundreds of Web sites that claim you can make money by sitting at home and answering surveys. Many of them are fee based in which you need to pay a fee to register with the promise that you will be contacted to complete surveys and get paid anywhere from $5 to $75.For survey new-comers easily attract to these scam sites. There are so many people who lost their time and money on those scam sites. It is difficult to determine for people which is scam site or which is not.
I advise against signing up with paid surveys.com. Who is demanding a sign-up fee of currently "only" $34.95 or such things as.Such fees should give reason to suspicion. After sign up they said there is no guarantee to qualify for any real paid surveys. The reputation of Paid Surveys who demand fees are extremely bad. These website are misleading people. You don’t think that every paid survey sites are scam or bad, no this is not true, there are some sites are totally legit, some are scam. Question is that How can you identify-
First thing always remember, Online Survey companies pay you... you don't
pay them to join. Legitimate paid survey sites are always FREE to join. If
anyone asks you to pay or provide credit card information, leave alone
these sites.
If any paid survey sites claim that they are true paid survey sites and ask
you to fill their forum with your personal information,Never give out your
driver's license numbers, credit card, bank account information. I have
never has a survey site requires me to provide these information to get
paid. Don’t trust on that.
Remember if advertiser's or companies want to know the opinions of your
about something; then your mileage with services like this will vary. Also if
your demographics already have a large number of people in the research
panels, you may receive less survey because there are more people.
I do not recommend that you pay money to a third party to receive a list of
companies where you can make the most money, because such lists will
often be dependent on companies who pay to get to the top of the list.
They get you online with false statements about doing surveys and making
so much money. If anyone takes a chance, and then they lose 34.95, they
give you a list but you can't get on their web sites and if you do get to the
site then when you register they tell you your password is incorrect !
when you have it written down!! They said this is fraud!!"
No reputable company would demand a sign-up fee for granting and a
reputable company would not conceal their street address and telephone
number on their website.
Hope this review help you.
